Stephen John Owen
Stephen John Owen was born in 1959 in Caernarfon. He is now firmly established as one of Wales' leading contemporary painters. His paintings demonstrate a great confidence and versatility in execution but also his deep passion for his surrounding landscape be it rural or urban in subject. Whilst his subject matter and style in part can be likened to other artists his bold use of the palette has created his uniqueness. As a child he spent many a summer holiday on his grandparent's farm in Church Bay, Anglesey, memories of which continue to influence his work.
