John Elwyn (1916 - 1997) was one of the 20th century's most important Welsh artists. He portrayed both the landscape and the people of his beloved Wales more effectively than any other.
Elwyn's paintings convey an extraordinary sense of Wales - its landscape, farms, villages, people and life, with a gentleness and sincerity that reflected his own personality and affection for his home land.
