Lisa Krigels figurative teapots are handbuilt from paperclay using a variety of slab. pinch and coil techniques. The pieces are painted with underglazes and then fired to 1130c, a transparent glaze is then added, and sometimes transfers and metallic lustre's. Finally Swarovski rhinestones, various beads, and natural or dyed feathers. Each handbag is wheel thrown and then decorated and fired using the same method as the figurative teapots Lisa's inspiration arises from the streets of Cardiff and night club life.
